Wipes in Oxide and how long a build lives
A wipe erases bases, tool cupboards and all progress. The server starts clean, and the first hours decide who runs the map until the next reset. That is when a build pays for itself fastest: while everyone else is running around with a rock, you already know where the nearest crates are and who is farming next to you.
Builds go down for updates after game patches. That is the normal cycle, not a failure: the developer rebuilds against the new client. Private builds usually come back faster, because there is one version to fix instead of ten forks scattered across the internet.
Product status on the site is live. If it says frozen, your subscription clock is paused and the build will not launch for now.
