Cheat glossary
Key cheating and anti-cheat terms, explained simply — anti-cheats, spoofer, ESP, HWID and more.
- Cheat Software, hack
- Third-party software that gives an in-game advantage: enemy highlighting, auto-aim, changing game parameters. ProCheat offers private cheats — closed builds for a specific game.
- Aimbot Aim, auto-aim
- A feature that automatically aims at the enemy. It can be smooth (mimics a human) or instant (silent aim — a shot without a visible turn).
- ESP Wallhack, WH
- Showing information about opponents through walls: position, health, weapon, distance. Wallhack is a kind of ESP that reveals player models through textures.
- Radar Mini-map
- A real-time mini-map with enemy positions. Often shown on a second screen or phone to avoid giving yourself away on the main monitor.
- Spoofer HWID spoofer
- A program that masks the PC hardware identifiers (HWID) to bypass a hardware ban and keep playing after an account block.
- HWID Hardware ID, HWID ban
- A unique fingerprint of the PC hardware. Anti-cheats use it to ban the device itself, not just the account — removed with a spoofer or an HWID reset on the developer side.
- EAC Easy Anti-Cheat
- A widespread anti-cheat (Rust, Apex, Fortnite, etc.). It runs at kernel level and tracks third-party processes and memory modifications.
- BattlEye BE
- A kernel-level anti-cheat (PUBG, DayZ, Arma, R6). Known for aggressive scanning and fast ban waves.
- Vanguard Riot Vanguard
- Riot Games anti-cheat (Valorant, LoL). It loads with the system at kernel level, so it needs special bypasses and is often incompatible with virtualization.
- Inject Injection
- The process of injecting the cheat code into the game memory. Performed by the loader; the injection method affects how visible the cheat is to the anti-cheat.
- Loader Launcher
- The program that starts and injects the cheat, checks the key and compatibility. Any private software starts from it.
- Undetected UD
- A cheat state in which it is not detected by the anti-cheat. Maintained by updates after game patches — shown on our site as the "Working" status.
- Detect Detection
- The anti-cheat detecting the cheat. After a detect, the software goes for an update (status "Frozen") until a new undetected version is released.
- Core Isolation HVCI, Memory Integrity
- A Windows protection feature that blocks loading the cheat drivers. Most private builds require it to be turned off to launch.
